One Day

I would read you a poem

When we sit again

in the cold nights

When it is completely dark,

even more than the future

When there are no stars

Just dark clouds stitched

with a black suture

On that day

I would read you a poem

When we sit again

In the cold nights

When there is a valley that

goes deeper than our thoughts

When there is no green grass hat

Just black ice on the mountain

And sometimes even nought

On that day,

I would read you a poem

When we sit again

In the cold nights

When the sand of the beach

is slipping through the fingers

Oh, we do try to reach

and capture it again but

it doesn't want to linger

On that day

I would read you a poem

When we sit again

in the cold nights

I know, dreaming of that day

is a childish foolhardy, it's nothing

But I do hope and pray

for that day to come

and this poem to mean something

On that day

I would read you this poem

When we sit again

in the cold nights
